Parts and accessories offered by Specialty Company (hereinafter referred to as SC) must be installed by a qualified mechanic or service technician. All parts should be inspected prior to installation and checked for proper fit and function in accord with the OEM specifications. Motorcycles can be dangerous if not properly maintained or if improperly altered or modified. Consumers are expected to exercise good judgement in the proper selection, installation and use of any part. SC assumes no responsibility for damage or injury of any kind due to use/misuse, improper application or installation of any parts or accessories it sells. SC is an independent reseller of parts and accessories for Harley-Davidsonâ style motorcycles. It is not affiliated with Harley-Davidson, Inc.
Except as may be expressly set forth in the product invoice, SC makes no warranty on products, expressed or implied, including without limitation any warranties of fitness for a particular purpose or application. All assignable warranties made by the manufacturer, which shall have sole responsibility for the performing of such warranties, are assigned to the purchaser of such products. The manufacturer shall be solely responsible for any damages to person or property arising from design, manufacture, testing or use of its products. In no event shall SC be liable for consequential or indirect damages or costs. ALL Warranty claims should be directed to the manufacturer according to the manufacturer warranty policy. SC will assist with the warranty claim if notified within 15 days of the original invoice date of the product or within 15 days of the first evidence of a warranty issue.
RETURNS & WARRANTY
The Buyer is responsible for the inspection of the delivered purchased product and must report any discrepancy, shortage or damage to the Seller within five days after receipt of goods. Before installation and use, the Buyer is responsible for the examination of all items to determine that they are of proper fit for the application as designed. Assignment or issue of the parts to a third party for installation does not negate this responsibility. Once mounted, installed or used; items are not returnable. Items determined to be defective or “shipped in error” may be returned before installation and/or use. Items determined to be defective after installation and/or use are subject to warranty policy (see above). Only items “shipped in error” will qualify for a credit of the return freight fee costs. Return freight cost reimbursements will not be made for amounts in excess of the original shipping and insurance costs charged on the customer invoice and calculated on a pro rated per part basis. Except for “shipped in error” items, all items returned to SC are subject to a 20% restock fee and must be in the original packaging and accompanied by an RMA number together with a copy of the original invoice. NO returns will be accepted for any reason after 30 days from original invoice date. All “cross-shipments” to replace defective or “shipped in error” items must be paid for before shipping. A credit will be issued for qualified returns only after receipt and inspection of the returned items. NO refunds or credits will be issued for exhaust systems, tires, wheels and any parts that have been mounted or used. Applicable credits, if any, will be issued only after inspection of returned items. No credit will be issued for items damaged due to neglect, misuse, improper installation or abuse. Sender will be responsible for all shipping charges. COD returns will not be accepted. No returns will be accepted without a SC issued RMA number. No credits or refunds will be issued for shipping, handling and insurance costs. No credits or refunds will be issued for service/labor charges, such as “mount/balance” tires/wheels etc. No credits or reimbursements will be issued for consequential costs, directly or indirectly, related to or arising from the installation and/or use of any purchased item or associated warranty claim. SC assumes no responsibility for the cost of repairs or replacement costs associated with or arising from an issue that is warranty related (see above for warranty policy). Items specified as SO (special order), at the time of purchase are subject to order cancellation fees. No refunds or credits will be allowed or issued for the required non-refundable “Special Order” deposit. All cancelled orders paid for through PayPal or with credit card are subject to a 5% cancellation fee. SO items are non-returnable. Exchanges will be accepted for items that are in like new condition, in the original packaging, are unused and have not be installed or mounted. Exchanged items are subject to our stated return policy. Only in store credit will be issued for any cost differences between exchanged items. No refunds will be issued in connection with any exchanged item. No item will be exchanged after 30 days from the original invoice date. Special Order items are not exchangeable. The buyer will be responsible for all freight, handling and insurance costs associated with exchanged items.
